Located beneath the majestic view of Mt Rainer amoungst the Puget sound metro area, rain forest, and Cascade foothills is a little soap room we call Rainroom Essentials. Where we make the stuff you want for an excellent trip to the Rainroom (some call it the shower, bath or throne room but whatever you call it you need soap) We make handcrafted, natural soaps with the goal of providing a great soap.
We are also a Family: Pat (Dad) is the patriarch and business guy; Marlena (Mom) is the woman behind the man and the inspiration for the soap;
David is the hopeful younger generation learning and helping as he prepares to take the reins of the company.
Marlena, as a cancer patient, found that cancer treatments had left her sensitive to the fragrances used in many products.
She needed to take special care of her skin to counter the effects of aging while undergoing cancer treatment.
She found it was possible to make her own soap and that is how it all began.
We now have an entire ledger full of recipes and eagerly learn everyday how to make better soap.
A constant goal is to find the best sources and refine our techniques. Utilizing the tried and true with fun new ingredients keeps us fresh.
We hope you will join us in our adventure. Our philosophy is everyone deserves the right soap for them so if you long to see a certain ingredient used or not used let us know.
If you have special needs and don't know which soap is right for you contact us and we will help you figure out what is right for you.
If we don't carry what you need, we would be glad to help you find someone who does, or develop a recipe specific to your needs if possible.
